Chicago, IL (June 2, 2021) – 9Rooftops Marketing recently welcomed Sloane Kelley as the company’s Vice President of Social Media. Kelley is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of social media and influencer marketing programs that build brands and online communities.
“Sloane has been producing content for more than 15 years for an array of brands across industries, and she has specialized in bringing that content to life across social platforms since the very early days of the medium,” said Kevin Meany, CEO at 9Rooftops. “She is a proven innovator who knows what’s new and next in how content is consumed, distributed and measured, so there is no one better to lead our growing Social Media team.”
A storyteller at heart, Kelley will guide the Social Media team in creating communication programs informed by analytics and audience insights that will capture and grow audiences for 9Rooftops clients. The team currently supports the social media and influencer marketing efforts for a variety of clients including Trinchero brands Sutter Home and Ménage à Trois; Glanbia brands ON and BSN; CLR; and Varo Bank.
Kelley previously spent almost eight years on the brand side driving audience growth and leveraging social media to bring official sponsors to life in meaningful ways for major sports brands. As Managing Director of the United States Tennis Association’s content and creative services, some of her successes include transforming the content and creative process, rebuilding the US Open’s YouTube channel, and launching US Open Now—a live lifestyle show. As Vice President of Content & Executive Producer for the PGA Tour, she helped to achieve the most engaged social media audience of any U.S. sports league on a per fan basis.
“Before transitioning to the brand side, I worked for several years at BFG Communications, one of the three agencies that merged to form 9Rooftops in May 2020. Joining the 9Rooftops team in this new role is almost like coming home,” said Kelley. “I look forward to supporting both familiar and new clients in actualizing their visions through content and social media platforms.”
When she’s not busy sharing stories on the interwebs, Kelley enjoys traveling, cooking and practicing yoga. She also adores animals and is a proud dog mama to her Chihuahua rescue, Layla.
